Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur is a Constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), (SIU). Sanctioned Intake: 180

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.

Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).

A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

 

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (Food & Agri - Business Management)

Sanctioned Intake: 60

Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.

Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).

Reservation of seats and fee concession for candidates domiciled in Nagpur:

Reservation for candidates domiciled in Nagpur: 25% (Twenty-five percent) seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in Nagpur.

Meaning of ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ Candidates for admission to PG programmes:

Candidates applying under Nagpur quota will have to provide the domicile certificate provided by the Competent Authority and also the mark sheet of the last qualifying examination from Nagpur University to fulfill the eligibility norms. If at any time during the admissions process this information is proved to be incorrect, their admission shall stand liable to be cancelled irrespective of the stage the admission is in .

 

The document in proof of the Nagpur domicile for a period of five years:

  1. The candidate will submit Age, Nationality and Domicile Certificate within the jurisdiction of Nagpur City (Urban) issued by the Competent Authority.
  2. The certificate should mention the residence of the candidate in (Nagpur Municipal Corporation), Tehsil Nagpur (Urban), District Nagpur in the state of ‘MAHARASHTRA’ for a period of five years.

 

Educational Criterion

Criterion:The candidate who are or will be the graduates or students of Nagpur University.

This reservation for all programmes is qualified as follows:

Provided that these students should be selected on merit on the basis of the common entrance examination conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) or any other competent authority in respect of the programmes offered by the university; and/or other components of the selection process as may be specified by the University.

Provided further that a reservation of 15% seats for SC, 7.5% seats for ST and 3% seats for differently abled candidates from Nagpur Domicile candidates will be provided within the 25% seats reserved for Nagpur Domiciled candidates.

In the event that any of the Nagpur Domicile Seats reserved pursuant to this sub- clause (ii) remain vacant such vacant seats shall be filled in the following manner:

1.SC Seats:

If the seats reserved for SC category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates remain vacant after exhausting wait list of SC category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates, such vacant seats shall be offered to SC category of Non- Nagpur Domiciled candidates in the wait list.

If such seats still remain vacant, they shall be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are ‘Nagpur Domiciled’

If such seats even then remain vacant, they shall finally be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are ‘Non- Nagpur Domiciled’

2.ST Seats:

If the seats reserved for ST category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates remain vacant after exhausting wait list of ST category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates, such vacant seats shall be offered to ST category of Non- Nagpur Domiciled candidates in the wait list

If such seats still remain vacant, they shall be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are ‘Nagpur Domiciled’

If such seats even then remain vacant, they shall finally be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are ‘Non- Nagpur Domiciled’

3.Differently Abled Seats:

If the seats reserved for Differently-abled category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates remain vacant after exhausting wait list of Differently-abled category of the ‘Nagpur Domiciled’ candidates, such vacant seats shall be offered to the Differently- abled category of Non- Nagpur Domiciled candidates in the wait list.

If such seats still remain vacant, they shall be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are ‘Nagpur Domiciled’

If such seats even then remain vacant, they shall finally be offered to the Open Category of the candidates who are ‘Non- Nagpur Domiciled’

How to Apply

For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Nagpur students should complete the following procedure:

Step I:

The applicant must register and pay for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) 2019. SNAP 2019 test fee is INR 1750/- (non-refundable). Following are the options for payment.

i) Billdesk Payment Gateway ii) Easebuzz Payment Gateway iii) Indian Bank Gateway iv) Demand Draft.

Step II:

While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SIBM-Nagpur in the same application form. A programme fee of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) is to be paid to SIBM-Nagpur for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).

1) SNAP Test fee & programme(s) of the institute is non-refundable.

2)Demand Draft(s) should reach the Symbiosis Test Secretariat by 5:00 pm on November 26, 2019. Demand Drafts reaching after this will not be considered and will be returned to the respective candidates.
