The MBA (IT) programme at SICSR offers students a perfect blend of technology and management courses. This programme comprises four specialisations, namely Banking and Financial Markets, Data Analytics, IT Infrastructure Management, and Software Process Management. This degree prepares students to take up roles such as Business Analyst, IT Management Consultant, IT Architect, Data Processing Manager, Systems Software Manager and Product Manager, to name a few.

The program aims to equip students with the skills to develop IT-based software solutions, take on analytical roles like business or domain analyst, stay updated with the latest technologies, gain exposure to industry best practices, and enhance leadership and management capabilities.

Experiential learning is a crucial component of the MBA (IT) syllabus at SICSR. Students create a variety of pilot projects to test their theoretical topic understanding. Pedagogical methods such as case studies, role-plays, quizzes and flipped classrooms are used by our faculty members for teaching and learning. Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.

Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).

A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

How to Apply


For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Pune students should complete the following procedure:

Step I:

The applicant must register and pay for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) 2019. SNAP 2019 test fee is INR 1750/- (non-refundable). Following are the options for payment.

i) Billdesk Payment Gateway   ii) Easebuzz Payment Gateway iii) Indian Bank Gateway iv) Demand Draft.

Step II:

While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SICSR in the same application form.A programme fee of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) is to be paid to SICSR for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).

2) Demand Draft(s) should reach the Symbiosis Test Secretariat by 5:00 pm on November 26, 2019. Demand Drafts reaching after this will not be considered and will be returned to the respective candidates.
